Make plans NOW to join us for Vacation Bible School 2009!!!!!!!

Welcome to the race. We are in a hurried, fast paced world, and we need to know how to run in order to be victorious when life’s race is over. Our theme verse for this Bible school is Hebrews 12:1, 2, “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”

Students will enjoy the Olympic-like sights and sounds of this theme and it will be a great tool to instill Bible truths in their hearts. For those who have watched the Olympic Games or maybe attended them in person, one thing remains when the games are over—the human drama. The things we remember are the stories of the struggles and triumphs of athletes who have faced obstacles and insurmountable odds. The games are about people more than competition and world records. It is the same with God; He is all about people.

In this study of the life of Paul, we will uncover an exciting human drama—a life that was completely turned in a new direction. We will learn of a man who faced hardship and yet finished his race in the fashion of a champion. The Olympic Games are a worldwide event. The life of Paul also made an impact around the world that is still being felt today.

The life of Paul presents a great opportunity to emphasize mission work. Each lesson of this series will point to a different region of the world with one country highlighted for a closer look. The countries selected for review are Kenya, China, Scotland, Mexico and New Zealand.
